INTERNSHIP

I had the opportunity to work on a Canberra Design Festival installation in 2020 that looked into the history of Canberra housing from the 1950's all the way through to the 2020's. As part of a design team, working with peers from the University of Canberra, I created scenes of a typical Canberran living room through the decades. This involved deep research into Canberra's past such as tv shows, news articles, schools, cars, sports teams and interior design. This was all mapped using Adobe Photoshop.

The final design was an installation in the main Dickson shopping area displaying each decade's living room, history of the Government housing, and important events.

To the left is an image that represents how a family home may look during the 80's. Using Adobe Photoshop, the living room furniture, decorations and imagery changed to accommodate for teenagers, new colour television, orange corduroy couches and stacks of record players.

To the right is an image that represents how a share house would look during the 90's. Using Adobe Photoshop, the living room furniture, decorations and imagery changed to match the new era of moneyless university students in need of cheap houseing.
